Dapper Dave Posted August 20 Posted August 20 (edited) I'd put this in Classifieds, but ain't selling yet, and if things go right, I won't have to, but life has dealt us a wild curve ball where my lady wife has to pay for her paid off house again. Long story, odd ending, but I might need to raise some capital. So, question - what is a Ken Griner CZ Sharptail with minimal wear, (used in one match), still with original CZ hardcase, worth nowadays? I looked at his website, but he didn't have any for sale to compare. Just so I have something to go by, if need be. If I do, there will be some more guns in the mix, but I will keep my basic battery if I can, eventually I WILL get back in the saddle. Just exploring options. Thankee kindly for your helpful remarks. Edit to add, the biggest roadblock to selling would BE my lady wife, who I love very much. See, I had to sell a LOT of stuff (including a lot of nice guns I got very cheaply due to connections), to support my ex wife, who was shall we say, non productive, and loved to spend my money. So, when I married Wife 2.0, she told me flat out that I was NEVER to sell another gun unless I wanted to, because she never wanted to be compared to the woman I was shackled to before. So, when she finds out what I am thinking about, she is likely to raise the roof, but it's time I stepped up. So, if need be, I will, and I suppose "value" is the wrong word, perhaps it would be what would someone be willing to pay in todays world. If no one makes an offer in a week, cut your asking price 5%. Continue until someone makes an offer, or you get to your "are you trying to insult me?" price. If no sale, wait a month, and start the advertisements over. That said, your best prospect is a fellow shooter at one of the clubs that know you. Private sale, no shipping costs, making a friend happy, or just making a friend! I have only sold guns in desperate times, and expected to take a loss. The Good Lord heard our prayer and the bill required to correct a 27 year old paperwork mistake, (caused by the State), came to FAR, FAR less than what they originally quoted, all done and everything gets to rest peacefully in the safe. Also, I need to do a YEEHAW! here because my wife's home and land are, as of today, free and clear in her name after 27 years of paying for it with a father who refused to let go of the titles even after they were paid for. Hers and hers alone and she busted her BUTT for a very long time to get here. I was going to call in to work so we could do a proper party, but she wouldn't call in to her work, strong work ethic and all that...I gotta work on that... YEE HAW!!!!!! 9 3 Quote
