East Made. West Famous. Ever wonder where the "Wild West" actually came from? Not the West. The Colt Peacemaker and the Winchester '73 were built in Connecticut. The Stetson hat was designed by a Philadelphia hatmaker. The Conestoga wagon rolled out of Lancaster County, PA. Even the stagecoach in every Western movie was built in Concord, New Hampshire. The West won the legend. The East forged the tools. That's the story behind this year's Northeast Regional Championship — "Where the Legends Were Forged" — hosted by El Posse Grande at North Mountain Sportsman's Association in Muncy Valley, PA. Also this year: the Wild Bunch Territorial, "Forged With Fire" — a 10 stage championship match honoring the guns that came out of the same Connecticut valley, and the Rough Rider spirit of a New Yorker who became President in the middle of the Adirondacks.
