Those people were sent there as punishment, either to remain there until they died or until they allowed themselves to be brainwashed into accepting the communist regime! The only difference between those and the Nazi concentration camps is/was that the Nazis had no intention of “rehabilitating” any of the people they sent there!! Not all of those who were sent to the camps were Jews, so it can’t be simply classified as religious, (although religion is often the driving force behind politics) persecution, even though that was a factor in who and why many were sent there. Rip Snorter Posted August 16 Posted August 16 McCarthy was right, and we let them get in control of education. I was already fighting it when my kids (in their late 30's early 40's) debriefs over dinner when they were in Public school. Fortunately they both went to a College that was still at least middle of the road S.T.E.M. and big 10 sports which definitely were. They are fine - I worry about the future generations. 1 2 Quote
