Doc Shapiro Posted August 8 Posted August 8 I think this has the potential to be an interesting thread, and likely a drain on the bank account. What's your favorite carry gun? Right now, either an S&W Bodyguard 2.0, or a Smith Model 60. I like the S&W during summer as it's really small and easy to conceal. I do have a Springfield Hellcat with the "surgeon" for trigger work. When it comes back, that may become my new favorite. How about you? 1 Quote

Next is an Sig 938 with 9mm Black Talons I have hung onto for a hundred years. When I am fishing (usually by myself) it is a stainless Delta Elite with 10mm 180 gr XTP Hornady and an extra mag. If I'm going somewhere, it's usually my 4 5/8" stainless RNV in .45 Colt in the same holster I used to shoot Cowboy. I nearly always get complimented on it. Even the LEOs I encounter love it. I've been carrying two reloads for whatever sidearm I'm carrying for so long professionally, that I just keep doing the same thing off duty, too. It's valuable to me for a number of different reasons, and if I need it, I don't need a LEO to confiscate it. 2 Quote

Blackwater 53393 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 (edited) I have three! My EDC is a Para Ordnance 13-45, carried open with a second magazine in a convenient pocket. There’s also two twenty round magazines in the vehicle that I’m driving. For regular concealed carry, I have a Taurus 450, stainless five shot .45 Colt revolver with either a Galco left hand belt holster or a tactical T-shirt that has a pocket for the gun under my right arm. I usually carry a couple of speed loaders in my jacket pocket when I use this combination. For the stage, when I’m performing with the band, an M1 American Derringer in .45 Colt in back pocket of my jeans. Many of the bars and clubs we play in don’t allow firearms. Some of them consider us employees and give me a pass. Others, it’s don’t ask/don’t tell. I’ll carry a few loose rounds in my front pocket or vest, depending on how I’m dressed. All of them are loaded with Hornady Critical Defense or Critical Duty ammunition. All of my carry guns are there to get me to my rifle. Edited August 9 by Blackwater 53393 2 1 Quote

Carry OWB in a "Gunfighter" brand close body carry Kydex holster or in a leather IWB thumb break holster (can't recall the brand right now) Smith & Wesson 66 3" round butt 357 Magnum with HiViz green dot front sight. Carry in a OWB leather thumb break that my dad made me while he was still alive and doing leather work. -------------------------------------------- Painted Lady Smith & Wesson 642 - 38 special with pink Pachmayer grips. Carried OWB in a leather off brand thumb break holster or within a tearaway leather conceal carry fanny pack. Sig 365 9mm - carried in a "We the People" Kydex OWB or in a concealment purse. -------------------------------------------- Desert Scorpion Smith & Wesson 642 - 38 special/ black Pachmayer grips. watab kid Posted August 9 Posted August 9 ive got a bunch that work with holsters and all have been carried at one time or another but current go-to is a sig 938 in a clip on holster that came with one of my 938s - very compact and dependable as well as conceals well on my slight person , others are compact kimber 1911s in both 45 and 9 , P1935 hi power , EMP , S&W mod 39 , colt 380 [this one stays in car with own holster] backup , full size kimber 1911 , full size sig 1911 , S&W mod 59 and a few more , i like the S&Ws because they are decockers with DA/SA function , Quote

watab kid Posted August 9 Posted August 9 its all about comfort and willingness to carry , its no good if its not on you when needed , i carry because i want to be prepared i never plan to need it , i carry what i can comfortably carry and conceal - we are an open carry state but im not a fan of being the target 3 Quote
