If someone does save it, I hope that they can bring it back to the type of place it was before the '95 fire. When they rebuilt it, they turned it into the New Old Tucson Theme Park. My wife, who had worked there some time before, (remind me to tell you about the time she gave Emilio Estevez a dressing down during the filming of "Young Guns"), and I went to see it after the Grand Reopening and were so disappointed we've never been back.

I responded to that fire. I never went back to the park after that, kept meaning to take my son down there, especially to meet Santee, (love his videos), but timing never worked out. My Dad took me there several times when I was quite young, there and around the corner to the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, another awesome place.

I visited it twice on trips to Winter Range and had a great time, not disappointed at all. Both times as a SASS member dressed in my cowboy duds and got to wear my guns after showing they were unloaded.  Hope they are able to save it.

Get 'em to start a GFM page. Betcha some cowboys and cowgirls here would chip in. Including yours truly.

I would like to see someone who appreciates the old west buy it.

Of course, with the appropriately sized checkbook.

Kurt Russell?

Taylor Sheridan?
