Colorado Coffinmaker Posted July 31 Posted July 31 You may want to try "staking" at the pivots. Also small welds work. I don't know there is anyone still at Cowboys and Indian that can actually fix the problem since Jim Lincoln passed. 3 1 Quote

BGB Late to the party but just had a similar issue except the pin is gone, made one of brass and can tell you that lasts for about 4 stages. Will be making a drill steel one soon, and staking or even a dap of epoxy on the inside to keep it from coming out. 1 Quote

Ok, if you want to count precisely, there are 2 hinge pins, one in each link, then the two knuckle pins (mounted in the rear end of bolt and the rear frame area). These 4 pins carry the recoil forces. Then there is the lever pin (#5) which slides in the slot in the links and mounts in the tip of the lever - which only carries the force of the lever running the action open and closed. As far as I know Pioneer Gunworks is the only provider currently of short stroke kits. Aside from a kit the only other option I’m aware of is cut and weld jobs… or finding used or new old stock kits from previously available sources. Quote

But no W or H prefix. When I Switched her to frontier cartridge we noticed the factory tighter tolerances became as issue. So interested to see the response...
