MizPete Posted August 3 Posted August 3 You know Petey is a foot-dragger. Save our spot and, if possible, save us a spot on posse #2(?) with Uncle Ethan. I owe him from last year. Quote

Long rifle of choice, shooting off-hand at mid-range targets. If you're shooting a pistol caliber cartridge it will be roughly 50 yards. If rifle caliber roughly 125-150 yards. Everyone gets three shots; if you hit target at least once, you advance. After everyone gets their three shots, those with hits continue one shot per round. We keep going until there is only one left. The winner might be shooting a big buffalo gun, or he (she?) might be shooting a 22 LR lever action. Winner gets a wooden plaque. 1 1 Quote

Now I just need to decide what hat rifle to use. Quote

That's part of the challenge/fun! For example, my Sharps replica is very accurate when shooting off the bench, but it weighs over 12 lbs, which is a lot to shoot off-hand at targets almost three times as far. Should I use my '73 Cowboy rifle? Get out and practice! Edited Wednesday at 03:59 PM by Diamond Jake Quote
