Three Foot Johnson Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I have an old acquaintance who asked me last week if I still cast bullets, and then said, "I've got some lead you can have". I just picked it up. I'd guess at least 300+ pounds of clean ingots of various alloys from linotype to wheel weights to pure lead strips to a bucket of odd coils of very soft 1/4" square stock that looks like it's woven or lead wool pressed into square lengths and coiled then wrapped like rolls of coins...? All free. 8 1 Quote
Three Foot Johnson Posted July 17 Author Posted July 17 I found pictures online of a couple more of the long ingot marked "THIS INGOT IS NOT TO BE SOLD", and described as "Wells Fargo Vault Door Ingots", with a notation from the seller that they are not silver. Hmmm... 2 Quote
John Kloehr Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Unlike in this link at $150 each: https://www.craigslist.org/view/d/medford-wells-fargo-vault-door-ingot/oT72Mt9fW3DiFdrRxSYHge Street value of $50 to $100 each is more likely. Probably worth more as a collectible than for lead value. It may have been silver plated in the past. 3 Quote
