ive built stages for performances on the 200th birthday and a number of other things over the last 50 years but this was the first parade i ever got involved in and i pulled the float , im glad i did it but i think ill call it good now - dont want to do that again , my wife volunteered me and she has been informed not to do that ever again , all went great and pretty smooth but my nerves dont like driving a ton and a half vehicle with a two ton trailer full of people and decorations with about 30 little kids darting around in front of me with a dozen adults that are not paying attention , one minute someone is telling me to stop while they load an adult overwhelmed with the heat and 2 1/2 mile walk , the next a parade marshal is telling me to close the gap thats getting too big , all the while all these kids are darting about in front of the truck and i cant see some of them ,

it all ended up OK but i was glad when it was over and i was back in my own truck headed to the restraint my wife and i were going to eat at , the beer tasted good too ,
