Utah Bob #35998 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 (edited) The smoke from the fire blocked the sun and dropped the temp down to the low 80s. I managed to get a smal ac window unut in the bedroom. The motor for the swamp cooler which quit after lunch, will ship tomorrow. About an hour ago a crew of young studs from Hartsel, Colorado pulled in to do some brush clearing and stump cutting. I told them to have at it. That made them happy. Some people say “save this bush or Don’t cut my favorite tree” Hell. It’ll all grow back. Eventually. 😃 The guys even helped me move the stove up into the kitchen. ❤️ Hartsel is a small town 316 miles away. The fire is at 47,778 acres right now. Then a native American crew from Alta Pacific Firefighters showed up. Not sure where they’re from. They contract all over the west. Sometimes I love the sound of chainsaws.
