They had some feeds from neighbors cameras but they cut the power to prevent more sparking or fires so no more cameras. someone had a drone and let them know their house was still there but that’s been 12 hours ago. Most folks here do One of the most common ways that allow wildfires to destroy structures is by embers gaining entry through attic vents and pet doors. Can't find the study but there was a lot of testing to determine why houses that shouldn't have burnt in a wildfire did. They discovered that embers were gaining access to the attic via soffit and gable end vents. Installing metal screening with a mesh no larger than 1/8" would stop embers from entering via the vents. Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life Posted July 4 Posted July 4 The wind has calmed down a lot. More smoke now. I live about 15 miles or so from UB and the fires here ,we have 3 near us ( and Bob) and the wind has been horrific and helped the lightning started fires just explode in size.
