Quicksilver Chris Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I've been a SASS member for over a year (and have bought here on the forum as well) and I'm slowly improving my rig and accessories. Turns out a loading block or strip would be really useful instead of bringing the whole ammo box up to the loading table every time. Anyone have some they don't use or want anymore for sale? 38 special. Leather preferable. Worn in or beat up doesn't matter. Color doesn't matter. Or maybe someone knows a deal on new ones? Quote

Sheriff Dill Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Not sure if it’s out of your wheel house or not but I went to the local Hobby Lobby. Bought a couple small dark wood cheese board type things, leather , brass snaps and fasteners. Even added a few cocnhos on. I think spent $40 for enough to make three loading strips. Dallas McBoomboom Posted July 3 Posted July 3 No dog in the fight here, but another option is a set of ammo bags from Lady Pearl. Set off 7 small bags and a big one is around 25 bucks. Preload 20 in each, take one to the load table, load up, stick it in your pocket or pouch, and throw your empty brass in it at the unload. Hard to beat in my opinion. 1 Quote

Hard to beat in my opinion. My son uses the strips we made and keeps a mesh bag tucked in his belt. He loads his brass up and shakes the extra debris out before dumping into the bin on the cart. I have a leather pouch on my belt for the empties, it's just I would prefer an easier way to grab a set amount of 20 that are organized before I get to the loading table. 1 Quote

Ours tend to be small without shelves underneath. That's why I needed an easy way to load and then get it out of the way. Right now I'm carrying my guns to the table, then running back to my cart for the ammo, loading, then running back to the cart. Thus the need for the strips like everyone else has! 1 Quote
