This is vividly illustrated within the gun owning community where people who have little or no interest in one or another category of firearm fail to oppose legislation that doesn’t directly affect their chosen type of gun!! The overall concept that losing a right that you don’t value might next lead to the taking of the ones you hold most dear escapes their grasp!!
