Howdy Cowboys, Cowgirls, Outlaws, Soiled Doves, Gamblers, Lawmen, and Ladies of the West!

By thunder, we did it BIG at the 2026 Stampede!

 

If you missed it, you missed one of the finest gatherings of Western style, frontier spirit, and downright spectacular costuming this side of the Mississippi. From trail-worn drivers and sharp-dressed gamblers to elegant Victorian ladies, colorful saloon girls, fearless outlaws, and lawmen who looked ready to ride straight out of a dime novel, the range was filled with some of the most impressive outfits we've ever seen.

 

One of the things that makes our game so special is that it isn't just about the shooting—it's about bringing the Old West to life. Every hat, vest, frock coat, bustle, pair of boots, badge, and carefully chosen accessory helps tell a story. The creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to historical detail displayed by our shooters this year was absolutely remarkable.

 

To make sure those memories were preserved, we brought in a professional photographer to capture the action, the fellowship, and most importantly, the outstanding costuming that makes our sport unlike any other. The results are nothing short of spectacular!

Dust off that fancy frock coat, polish those boots, straighten that badge, fluff those bustles, and bring the finest version of your cowboy, cowgirl, outlaw, gambler, scout, mountain man, or soiled dove persona to the range.

 

The shooting is important, but the costuming, camaraderie, and immersion in the spirit of the Old West are what truly make a SASS match unforgettable. Every year the costumes get better, the characters get bigger, and the stories get taller—and we can't wait to see what you bring to town next year.

 

The challenge has been thrown down, pards. Start planning now, because the 2027 Stampede is shaping up to be our biggest, boldest, and best-dressed gathering yet!
