No.

Doing so would likely generate PM offers (same as posting a WTS without a stated price).

Note also:

Offers on the Classifieds may only be posted by a SASS Member (you may not post for someone else), in good standing, and must include his/her SASS Number. Offers posted by Guests or Members not including their SASS Number will be deleted. All items posted for sale MUST include a price.

Visit gunbroker, guns America and any other gun selling sites to get an idea.

Check your local Armslist and Gunbroker. Also make some fishing calls to several gun shops within 100 mile radius of you. See what they are selling theirs for (if they have it) and what they are buying them for.

Why not ask us here on the wire what a fair price would be, rather than post it in the Classifieds before your ready to sell.  I'm sure you would get plenty of input if we knew what item you were trying to establish a fair price for.

I did that for a revolver from an estate I got for a song and was selling. My post was pulled by the end of the day. Once I re-read the guidelines I understood and was okay with it.
see PWB post near the top.

Okay, but I thought we were talking about the classified section here and my suggestion was to ask on the SASS Wire rather than post on the classifieds.  I don't see anything in PWB's post about asking a pricing/value question on the Wire.  I have asked a couple such questions in the past and never had one pulled, although it has been a while.  If this is now against the rules, then I stand corrected, but what's the harm in discussing with cowboys, what a cowboy firearm might be worth, especially since it may have modifications typical in this game?  Other, public sites (like gun broker, etc.) probably wouldn't take this into consideration and I have to ask if you would pay the same for a short stroked 73 and cowboy smithed one that is ready to run, then you would for a used one that was simply stock?

I actually didn’t see any harm in asking myself just saying what happened.
