Rye Miles #13621 Posted June 2 Posted June 2 (edited) Our good pard Prairie Dawg is in the hospital. Apparently he had a mini stroke Thursday night. I just talked to him this morning and he’s bored and waiting for rehab to get busy on him. He’s having trouble walking. Anyway, keep him in your prayers. I’m hoping for the best!🙏🏻🙏🏻 Edited June 2 by Rye Miles #13621 5 4 3 Quote

Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329 Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Update: Thank you for all the kind words, thought, and prayers. Here is the latest update: Got out of the room today, and strolled around the hallway for a time, with support & assistance from a walker and a physical therapist. The clinic neurologist, the PT and the OT all agree that i should go directly to acute Rehab. They have found me a bed in one of their facilities, and we are waiting on a go-ahead from the insurance company. Everyone tells me that rehab should be quick, less than 2 weeks, so I am hopefully. I am on a new course of high Blood Pressure, and cholesterol drugs. And will add a cardiologist and regular visits to a neurologist to my routine So hopefully good-to-go soon! Sierra and the dawgs will be glad to have me home, and I'll be glad of that and to get back to shooting! Keep up the good thoughts and prayers -- they help! --Dawg 8 10 Quote

Linn Keller, SASS 27332, BOLD 103 Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Now there's good reason to pour an Adult Beverage and engage in a broad and toothy grin! Dawg, thank you for letting us know your improved state! My wife has a clotting disorder and had a mini stroke her own self ... she listened to me read this thread aloud and she said "Remind him to keep hydrated, he doesn't need any more clots!" (Forgive me if I keep standing up on my Prayer Bones for you!) 1 Quote

Son, it doesn't matter where you are . God will find you. He's found me in some very bad and sad places and pulled me out of the fire so many times I have lost count. We'll keep on praying, you keep on fighting, and let Him handle the rest. 4 2 Quote
