It is a "Flobert" style parlor pistol.

Usually "true" Floberts were a bit more embellished/ fancy. (the above is one I have in my shop right now).

But this style of single shot hammered rolling block pistols have all kind of fallen under that banner.

Many gunsmiths and gun makers made their own variants - almost all were 22 caliber.

that is a piece of home made junk. A deputy gave it to me. He took it from a bum. I kept it here in the bank in case we were robbed. I finally gave it to T Bone years ago. I believe there is writing under the barrel.  Irish ☘️ Pat

So you’re saying this was your gun? That’s how I’m reading this! 🙄🤣

yes it was mine. A deputy friend of mine gave it to me and told me to keep it at the bank in case we were robbed. It was a joke! I had it for years and finally gave it away for someone else to gets laughs out of it. No way I would ever try to shoot it or sell it. it was fun to show to guys in law enforcement that didn’t know to well at the time.

Wait , the gun that I showed pictures of was your gun? How did it end up in Ohio? How do you know it was yours? I’m confused.😕

My friend works at a gun shop and someone brought this in and he bought it for $25

Well the fact that there could be dozens of those out there and there’s no way of you proving it was actually yours especially with no serial number, I have to question it. Sorry pard. I agree with you on one thing,  that is one butt ugly piece! 😂 If it was yours I don’t blame you for getting rid of it!

It's one of those things that are simply made to make people ask, "...what is this?"  A situation that's only worse when you realize you spent money on it!

If it won't shoot, it's a very strange looking paper weight.

Perhaps mount it on a plaque and hang it on the wall.

I wonder if it could be repaired.

He’s got it hanging on the wall at the gun shop he works at.
