My SIL parked his nearly new Tahoe at the Springfield, Mo. airport and here’s what he came back to. The other 2 pictures are of cars parked nearby. I guess the only casualty was an Emu at the zoo.

Looks like some pretty sizable hail, that sucks being a brand new vehicle.

 

In 1983, I bought a blue w/fake wood panel sides 1974 Ford Country Squire station wagon for $75.00 that had hail damage. Somehow none of the glass was damaged but the hood and roof looked like a big blue golf ball with roof racks. A retiree at a trailer park owned it and it only had about 15,000 miles on it. That thing ran great. Got a lot of looks from people but I didn't care. Ended up selling it for $500 to somebody so I could buy something faster but nowhere near as reliable.

A friend had his BMW parked in his driveway.  His insurance company paid out over $7,000.00 for sheet metal and glass after  his $1,000.00 deductible.  

 

Looks like a new car now, but  still.....!

lots of UGLY weather in the OZARKS yesterday 

 

2+ in hail all over the area , biggest I saw was over 2 3/4 just under 3 in 

 

 I was lucky , nothing near that big at my place

I remember seeing this kind of damage in Oklahoma City.  Happens almost every year.  One time one of our new radar techs drove a brand new car to attend a course at the academy in OKC and came back with it full of dents, but luckily all his glass was ok.

Yes, I hate hail. and we are getting to that soon

we go anywhere from peas size to well worlds largest Hail was In SD.

Texas on its path to provide more green enery built some huge solar panel sites. Hail storm with wind basically destroyed a site. Causing local folk to be without power!
