Here’s an interesting one, a revolving carbine in 44-40 with an 18” barrel. The importer was J. L. Galef & Son. I believe it’s made by Uberti based on the proof mark, but I’m not an expert so please make your own determination.

In good shape overall, with some small dings and scratches presumably from handling over the years. The cylinder base pin was a challenge to remove and it got a little scarfed up on the end. I tried to photograph that as best I could. I suspect it hadn’t been taken out in many years, and possibly never since it looks to me like this has likely never been fired. I cleaned and oiled it well so now it removes more easily though still takes more effort than I’d like. I’d polish it up a bit if I were keeping it. Otherwise looks and functions well.

It has a removable wood forearm. I’m not certain if it is original to the gun or was made later. I’m also not sure holding revolving carbine by the barrel is a fabulous idea, but you can choose your own adventure.

Will be shipped using Ship My Gun (https://www.shipmygun.com/) once payment clears. Your FFL needs to be part of their network or willing to coordinate with them. I’m happy to help you figure that out of you’re not sure. They must also accept transfers from a private party.

$575 shipped in the contiguous US, excluding CA because I don’t want to try and figure out how to navigate the CFLC approval process.

Checks accepted from established/active members, USPS money order otherwise. First I’ll Take It.

Hey Bladesmith:

These are fun to shoot -- I've owned several over the years.
Probably ought to be mentioned that these are not legal for SASS competition

Page 40 of  The shooter's handbook sez....

"Rifles or carbines used in the main and team matches must be original or replicas of lever or slide action rifles manufactured during the period from approximately 1860 until 1899, incorporating a tubular magazine and exposed hammer."

Several questions, where is the hammer spring and is the firing pin on the hammer or is there a transfer bar thank you, colt design

Hello @boom pop. It is a fixed firing pin so no transfer bar. As for the spring, I’ve never dissembled it enough to give you a definite answer, but I have no reason to think it differs from the diagram below. I would imagine they all follow a pretty similar design.

For sure! Sounds like something someone whose name is Carbine might need in their collection. 😆

It would look good for sure.

Back in the day it was Commonly referred to as the fence post gun for obvious reasons.

Do wish somebody would hurry up and buy it.  Temptation is getting stronger!

Tell me about it

it is very tempting! Funding right now is my issue.

You'll know I need stuff for that new boat ....

If you want to call it an anti-boarding carbine for pirate prevention, I won’t correct you. 🤷🏻‍♂️
