As stated in the other thread, I spoke to the folks at Taylor’s last week. They WILL be offering these!

I was told that they would have more information later this week, possibly a price prediction, availability date, and they would take my back order when they got more info.

I’m wondering if they will offer a version with a blued barrel/magazine and other steel parts.

I recall a video some years back where one of our young SASS champion shooters (I can’t recall exactly which one) had the opportunity to fire an original Volcanic using original type rocket ammunition they’d put together.  They figured it as the first time one had actually been fired for maybe a century.

I didn't see that but it was Lead Dispencer.  I know he and his pop had quite a collection.

That looks really cool!  I'd love to see a Volcanic carbine or rifle variant too.  I am a little leery of that internal safety they casually mentioned, based off of the numerous issues their 3-clicker revolvers have had with light strikes.

According to one of the videos, the safety may be optional. It was also stated that it was subject to change and a “transfer bar” was also mentioned.

You’re right, Abilene, it was Lead Dispenser!  I recall shooting right behind him at one match; felt like I had maybe a quarter of a second to get my self together after he started and VERY quickly finished a stage.

On the one hand, I found myself thinking, what do they need a safety for?   They don't put one on their Henry rifle.

But then I remembered, the Volcanic is a pistol.   There may be some kind of a legal requirement that it have a safety to be able to imported.   Unless they can convince the powers that be that the half cock notch is the safety notch.

Wild guess here...
