Uh oh ~ time to stock up on... nope, not powder and primers - time to stock up on TP, paper towels, Kleenex... all that kinda stuff...  :(

Seems someone has done gone and burned down the nearly 28-acre Kimberly-Clark warehouse in Southern california!!  :o

Evidently they caught the scurvy low-life.  Prob'ly has stock in a bidet company.

Not because of this fire, just because i was low on my bunker inventory, I did stock up today. I'm now good for about 5 months. Will restock again in about 3.

I've been doing this with a lot of stuff for a few years, it is keeping me a bit ahead of inflation. Also today enough 91% isopropyl to kill porch wasps all summer (no insecticide residue), and various canned goods for a couple more pots of chili (was down to one pot worth).

Recent stockup was EVOO, paper towels, car window washer fluid, wine, just stuff I know I will use in the next year or less. Most shopping trips are for stuff which goes in the fridge.

Might go to a "farm store" later this week, I seem to have used up all my frozen chicken so time to start filling the freezer up again. Will also check on beef since it is the same store.

Separate from being ahead on inflation, the real benefit for me is not having to go to the store as often or get as much during the winter. So a spring stock-up and a late-fall top-off.

As to the video, Chamel Abdulkarim sounds quite americanized. Seems to have also picked up that west-coast sense of entitlement along with the oblivious attitude towards consequences of life decisions. I'm sure his lawyer will be making the appropriate filings as to him being held without bail. Hopefully some judge does not just release him on OR when motioned.

Great, another excuse why there's no paper towels in the towel dispenser. I detest electric hand dryers.

On the bright side, I prefer Quilted Northern,  Sam's brand paper towels and Sam's facial tissue...don't know who makes them though.

Courtesy of this buttwipe, about 150 people at the plant lost their jobs.  That doesn't include the ripple effect of the truck drivers who distribute items from the warehouse, the restaurants near by that fed the employees, gas stations that sold them fuel etc.  They will all hurt from this tragedy as well.  I'm also willing to bet Kimberly Clark will not rebuild in Cali but move their operation to a business friendly state like Nevada.
