Hey All,

I’ve attached a picture here that shows the issue I’m having with my Kirst Konverter.

The one on the right is normal, but I was cleaning the one on the left and the firing pin fell out. I didn’t even realize it until I looked at the breech plate and noticed I could see through the hole. I looked on my cleaning mat and found the pin, but never realized it came out. Maybe it came out when I disassembled the gun?

I tried to press it back in with finger pressure, but it doesn’t go in and I don’t really want to hammer on it unless that’s how I’m supposed to get it back in there. There is a spring still inside the left one’s firing pin hole, but I have no idea how it fell out, how to get it back in there correctly, or what holds it in there in the first place.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Yankee

I was going to if I couldn’t find another solution, but maybe that’s the easiest and quickest way. Thanks!

always the first approach , let them make it right , if they dont then post here and ask for advice ,

most reputable companies will try to make things right , they want you happy , you sell more of their products for them reporting how they fixed the problem you had , it turns negative feedback into positive advertising , its only fair you give them the chance first to fix it , but just my 2bits  , do as you please

Follow up on this topic. Moments ago, the said gunsmith called me to confirm return address for my conversion ring. It was interesting talking to him and he stated he does everything possible to turn the repair around in just a few days. Also stated that the company that assembles the rings had some "quality control issues in assembly, not machining or material, but assembly, and they are doing everything possible to remedy the problems.  Excellent customer service!

The Kirst gunsmith is my best friend and will definitely treat you right. He prefers to be contacted through Kirst if you have any problems.

I had an issue with my Kirst a few years back, very fast turnaround.  Mailed it out on a Monday, got it back middle of the following week.

Update:

Fixed with zero issue, as expected. However, the total time from contact with Kirst to having my fixed items returned was extremely fast. It took eight days to ship them, have them fixed, and then receive them back in hand. No questions asked, no issues, just a fixed product in a crazy-fast timeline. VERY satisfied customer here.

Thanks again to everyone here, and a BIG thanks to Kirst and their gunsmith for the easy and quick fix.
