Morgun Play Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Does the rule change only apply from the loading table until all guns are cleared at the unloading table? If an unloaded gun is dropped while being put into a cart, or perhaps a cart is knocked over is that still a SDQ? Quote
John Kloehr Posted March 31 Posted March 31 (edited) An edit: Just read as to a rule change, the following is from the most recent handbook. So my response does not consider any rule change. Original response follows: --------------------------------------------------------------------- As I read it, no, not an SDQ if not on the line (LT to ULT). However it still must be picked up by a TO and inspected for clear before being returned. If the firearm turns out to be loaded, that is an MDQ independent of where it happens on or off the line. Admittedly a bit of a read between the lines, so interested in how others see it. Also if a cart is knocked over and the gun stays holstered (or secured in the rack), no TO required to inspect and make it right. Just stand the cart back up. Edited March 31 by John Kloehr Quote

YES...once a firearm is placed on the LT, the shooter is considered "on the firing line". (REF: SHB p.45) If an unloaded gun is dropped while being put into a cart, or perhaps a cart is knocked over is that still a SDQ? NO...but caution must be used to prevent sweeping anyone when retrieving any dropped firearm. 9 8 Quote

Irish Pat Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I fell over a gun cart and knocked over a stranger’s guns. Things happen to me. I ended up making a new friend. No call. I bought drinks that night at the banquet 3 Quote
