I was looking for a movie that could not remember the title of. I actually found it - Kate and Leopold. But all I could remember was it was a time travel romance.

I did a search on time travel romances and there are several. One of them was Back to the Future part 3.

Yeah, I guess that qualifies, because Doc falls in love with Clara, the school teacher, back in 1885.

But it says in the article that the movie received the rating it did because of "profanity, mild violence, and brief nudity".

Nudity?? In Back to the Future 3?

I suppose I have become so inured to nudity in movies that I don't notice it anymore, but I certainly don't remember any. Anybody have a clue?

'Tis amazing how stuff changes over the years.

When I was in my teens, and the HBO guide said that this movie or that movie had "brief nudity", it was always women and it was always frontal. Showing a butt wasn't even considered nudity. No one even noticed it. Nowadays that's terrible??

Times have changed - my mother said Grandma wouldn't let her go see "Gone With The Wind" because the word "damn" was in it.

If I recall correctly, the morning after the dance, Marty is seen with one button on the trapdoor of his long johns unbuttoned.

Revealing one of his butt cheeks.

Everybody else is thinking about Clara, and YOU'RE thinking about Michael J. Fox's BUTT CHEEKS?

I run a Movie Night at my lodge.
This event is co-ed, so I look for PG ratings, no nookie, no urination, no F-bombs, no gay crap, no woke, etc

Add to this requirement, the movie has to be in high-res 4k with a good surround sound track.

This week was "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

Coming up is "Dr StrangeLove, Or How I Learned to Love The Bomb"  (1964 vintage).

And "American Graffiti".

It appears one has to set the Wayback Machine to search for fun, but clean, old movies.

I think there was a scene with a naked mouse with just a yellow hat and floppy ears.

If a movie does not have nudity and at least two murders in the first five minutes I move on to something more interesting.

I had a buddy decades ago that rated movies on three things - sex, violence, and violent sex. Yes, he was a Marine. No, I don't know him anymore.

Have you done Sound of Freedom yet?

How about the time when Felix Unger explained how when you assume something, you make an ASS out of U and ME!

I was shocked when I saw that as a kid when it aired for the first time.

Or on a more violent example, when Magnum asked Ivan "Did you see the sunrise this morning?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
Magnum turns around points his 1911 at him and the image freeze frames as he fires.

My Dad shouted, "HE SHOT HIM!"  You have to remember, this was not an act of self defense or a shootout.   It was a straight up execution.

I looked at the Sound of Freedom trailer.
It is too heavy for a movie night at my lodge.

How new does it have to be?

There are some very good movies, from the 30s and the 40s. My grandchildren won't watch them because they're black and white. I understand that - I used to wouldn't watch silent movies because they didn't have any sound, but I grew out of that idiocy.

But didn't they have separate beds ?

They ALL did back then. Ozzie and Harriet, Donna Reed, Father Knows Best, et al. I was just a kid back then, and even I knew that that was wrong.
