I agree with Watab Kid, the pistol you show in the pic looks like a real keeper. So I have to ask, are you suggesting that you need another keeper? Quote

So I have to ask, are you suggesting that you need another keeper? No I just need somebody to hold me back...........my urges get a very, very tight hold of me sometimes! My only deterrent individual right now is my 1 1/2 yrs. old Cocker Spaniel, my daughter and granddaughters don't care and my son knows all the guns are going to be his someday anyway. And yes, there may be other "keepers" in the future. Come to think about it, I have two 7 1/5 inch bbl Single Actions but one is made by Uberti and the other one by Frattelli Pietta, so a Colt "calvary" SAA would be very nice, it's the only size BBL I don't have...................HMMMM! And Crooked River Pete, the caliber is .45 Colt, it's a third gen. built in 1982. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the hammer main spring, you gotta have thumbs like Chewbacca to cock the thing, other than that it's in mint condition. 1 Quote

I have Reduced power Wolff springs in all my Colts. Save the original springs so if you sell it. Quote
Wyatt Earp SASS#1628L Posted March 4 Posted March 4 I 2nd the Wolff mainsprings. I have them in all my Colts. Plus the reduced power flat style trigger/bolt spring. 1 Quote

I think it is in the bible or Shakespeare said so. In fact I have two Colt Cowboys (I beg forgiveness for that money was very lean then), two USFA Rodeos (my main match guns), two Colt SAA in 5 1/2 inch BBL, and two Standard Manufacturing SA's. So I've been true to the rule, but I have not shot CAS in about 20 years and, in fact , only get to a range every 6 months or so. I'm penitent about that but my age and health are dominating factors so I've become more of a collector than a shooter. I started shooting (both military and bulls eye) in the middle of last century, have reduced hearing in my right ear and run out of breath after 10 or 15 steps, so popping caps is no longer that exciting but I love to look and feel and play with the damn things. I'm a true gun nut! 4 Quote
DukeSoprano Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Ah yes the 4 Click Therapy, I use to compete in all 8 categories of USPSA, 50 round PCC magazines and blowing through hundreds of rounds at a time just over a lunch break for practice. Now I sit in my den surrounded by gun books, with my little dog on my lap, a Colt SAA and 6 snap caps, funny how things change. 1 Quote
DukeSoprano Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I just broke the Golden rule, I just picked up a Colt SAA Pinto in 44 Special and I only have 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote

Sorry about that, but you see a very good friend and co-worker was crazy about them things and at one time owned three. But that was in the late 70s. Quote
