I've still got mine! You don't want to shoot it without ear protection!!

It was my EDC for many years while working where I wasn't supposed to carry! A belly gun for sure, accuracy any further would just be lucky!

My father bought my mother one of those for her birthday many years ago.   Although, hers is a .22 Short.   It came in a nice small presentation case.   Mom was all excited, thought it might be a fancy necklace or something.   Then she opened it and saw the pistol.   They laughed about it for years.

I had one in 22 mag and I was carrying it for awhile but I don’t trust rimfire especially for carry. I sold it and never looked back.

.22 Magnum is nothing to sneeze at.  It's actually got a pretty good bite.  That being said, yeah, if you want something bigger, that's perfectly understandable.   That being said, I think it was Jeff Cooper, of all people, who said that the man with a .22 in his pocket is better armed than the man with a .45 in his bedstand at home.

All of that being said, since, they'd probably fit, I'd love to see a version of these in .32 S&W.  I've seen it argued that .22 Magnum is actually more potent, but the .32 would be SASS legal!

My worry is not the power of a .22 mag or the penetration, it’s the reliability of a Rimfire cartridge period! I’ll take a centerfire thank you! 😊

I have a Remington "Iroquois" .22 short that I picked up 40 years ago for $5.00.  It's about the same size as the FAA little toy.  I don't dare shoot it because the cylinder walls are about as thick as onion skin and I have no idea what metallurgy was like back then....but it sure is a pretty little gadget.

You might want to  look  up  .22 BB Cap. RWS and Umerex make them.

CCI makes a CB cap.

I have a partial box of 100 that I have used on other tiny guns, but not on this one.  I also have a four shot Sharps 1A in .22 that I don't shoot any more.  Got an early Navy Arms copy of that one that is a dimensionally perfect copy and seems to be exactly like the Sharps.

That I shoot.

I had a S&W Hammerless safety made in 1898, 32 S&W, great little gun. I didn’t reload for it and it was getting hard to find ammo for it. I only used it for side matches and since I stopped doing side matches I sold it and a derringer I had. I

I will echo that sentiment.  Small revolvers, are a lot of fun.    When I was deciding on what my "Small Iron" would be that I paired with my "Big Iron" I worked though a lot of possibilities.

See this thread for more details...

Hey,I like that .33 with the conversion cylinder.  I can find the pistol, but where did you get the cartridge cylinder for it?

Go into a big box sporting goods store and ask for it that way. 95 times out of 100 you get handed a box of 7 62 x 39.

I got the cylinder from Taylor's.  Word of caution, the revolvers are not well made.  I had to have my gunsmith to extensive work just to make it functional.   The trigger pull was about 100 pounds, and the hammer pull to cock it was even heavier.  The timing was off too.   And, the cylinder didn't fit.   My gunsmith was able to fix all these issues. but it took a relatively inexpensive gun and turned it into an not so inexpensive one.   Still glad to have it though.

I like my NAA 22 mag. I sent it back to the factory and had a 22lr cylinder fit to it.  So I could shoot it cheaper for fun.  It shoots pretty good when you take into account the range it is meant for. Picked up a handy kydex necklace holster for it.

i was going to do that but just didnt see the balance between expense and use , but , if i could get it done without the expense id do it in a heartbeat , i have enough 22WMR to feed it for now

A lawman of my acquaintance carried one in his pants pocket with ignition keys and a pocket knife.
He said one dark night he and a Street Rat were contesting for superiority and said scoundrelly sort kept trying to grab his belt gun.
My buddy got him in a headlock, pulled that little NAA and screwed it into the opponent's ear.

He said he turned a shaving of flesh from inside the scoundrel's ear canal, as the front sight was rather sharp, he eared the hammer back -- with the barrel shoved down into the ear canal I reckon he heard it without difficulty -- and growled "Now try for my belt gun, damn you!"

i was going to do that

I'm kind of a sucker for "conversion" type guns that can shoot different calibers by switching barrels or cylinders.  Oh, nothing normal, just the weird stuff like the NAA, a Handi rifle with 3 different barrels, and partner shotgun with a second 50cal muzzle loading barrel, C&B with cartridge conversions... stuff like that.  Nothing as simple as a Blackhawk with an extra cylinder.

yes , i dont have anything like the blackhawk with extra cylinder either , what i have are C&B 1851s , 1860 , 1858 with conversion cylinders to allow cartridge like the 22lr , 38long colt and 45colt , most you tear down to load/unload - the two 1875s are the only that i plan to use in matches , rest i just plink with at the range because i enjoy them ,

I already have a brass frame version.  Bought it years ago when I worked in a gun shop.  Never been fired because of all the things you mentioned (it takes two men and mule to cock it), but I keep it because it looks good with the other guns on the all.

It sounds like they haven't improved it in the last 20 years so I guess I'll pass.

Thanks for the info.
