Marshal TKD, Sass # 36984L Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 Since there will be a Rimfire Challenge match happening on Saturday in the Action Bays, we will have a Rimfire Challenge side match on Thursday. What is Rimfire Challenge? A match consists of pistol and rifle stages. Shot on steel You will shoot 5 strings on a stage and your slowest string is discarded. If there are 6 stages it would be 3 pistol and 3 rifles stages. You must shoot both pistol and rifle. Course of fire. On a stage there will be between 5-7 plates one of which is a stop plate. The stop plate is shot last. The other plates can be shot in any order. A miss can be made up prior to shooting the stop plate. The shooter shoots each string 5 times. The slowest time is discarded. Whats needed? A Rimfire rifle with 5 magazines. Can be a 10/22, AR15-22. It can not be a tube fed rifle. You reload between strings and sweeping yourself with a loaded firearm is a bad idea. A Rimfire pistol with 5 magazines. Think Ruger Mark 4, Browning or S&W. A double action revolver is ok to use. About 300 rounds of ammo. If you do not have any Rimfire weapons we will have a couple of loaner sets. You will however need to bring ammo. CCI mini mags are recommended. No Binary triggers Forced reset triggers Supressors We will either do a walk up start or squads depending on how many people are interested. More info to come.
