Eyesa Horg Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) Just started loading up some SG and a bit into it, I realized that I am running out of the ClayDot I've been using for years! Anyway it's too cold and I'm too lazy to break out the chrono as I switch over to RedDot. I've been loading 14gr of ClayDot under 7/8oz of shot in 12ga. Anybody know what a similar load of RedDot would be? Thanks for your assistance! Eyesa Edited February 14 by Eyesa Horg Quote
Yul Lose Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I load 13 grains Red Dot under 7/8 oz. shot for 16 gauge. 1 2 Quote
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I usually find close performance correspondence between Clay and Red Dots. Same bulk, too. good luck, GJ 2 Quote

I. M. Crossdraw, SASS# 8321 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I use 10.5grains RD, 7/8 - 1 oz. shot. Not much difference in shot weight use as far as recoil is concerned. 1 2 Quote
