Is the store or website still up and running. ? I know Mr Bowie passed away recently didn’t know if anyone was still running the business. Looking for a short stroke kit and carrier for my 73.

I kept getting the error 505 when I tried loading it.

Be cautious... as they say they no longer take credit cards and will only take checks or Zelle.  It's a red flag for me.

Hmm, could be hijacked... I did not look at domain registration dates.  Back in a few minutes.

On edit: The domain was originally registered in 2002. Last updated in 2022, paid up until 2031. So it did not expire and get "appropriated (hijacked) in that sense. But was paid up far more in advance than typical domains. But not a red flag to me. A new registration of a previously known but expired domain would be a big red flag.

Jim is gone and the C&I store was basically a one man operation.  Try something novel like calling.  If no one answers you have your answer.  If Jim's wife answers I am sure she can give you the straight scoop.  The C&I website does not show up on my computer.  Remember once on the Internet nothing can truly be removed.  Getting the site could be as simple as the address was in your cache and it just duplicated what it looked like the last time you went there.

I do not believe Sassy has anyone continueing in Jim's business....and it is so very soon to trouble her with it.

Please find alternate supplier...

Can try Colonel Lou's Guns in El Paso

The only two that still make links are Pioneer and Shotgun Boogie.  They differ in the way the timing is set.  The Pioneer has a metal pad that you grind or file to set timing.  The Shotgun Boogie has two screws you turn with an Allen wrench to set the timing.

i hope this works out well , its disturbing that a siite like this can get coeeuopted , i wish the federal government would go after these people like they do tax issues - and im not for more federal governmet in any way - butr they have the resources and manpower to do it as well as the people to terminate the fraud

They haven't taken orders directly from website for quite awhile, you have to call. I haven't  tried since Jim's passing because I  didn't want to bother his wife at this time.

This is the link I had bookmarked for the purchases I’ve made through the years. The last time I bought anything from them was about 2-3 years ago.

This link no longer works at my end, so I’m assuming it’s no longer valid. I bet if you clear your browser cache it’ll no longer work for you either.

I bought some C&I parts from this outfit once upon a time. Maybe they can help you out, Sheriff? I think they’re out of Durango CO.

Thanks. That page will definitely be bookmarked.

Don't take any of this as gospel, more like rumor?  Local CAS shooter Dodge City Mike (Booyah Bullets) was training with Jim Bowie over the past year, and I think they had the notion that Mike was going to take over the SS kits business.  That of course hasn't happened yet, and I don't know if it will.  But think positive!

Gents...  I talked with Cheryl this morning.

She is not sure if she is going to continue with sales. She will definately announce her decision when she decides.

With that, I would look to other vendor for needs right now.

We will see Sassy on the grounds at EOT during Cowboy match as she visits with folks.

i dont blame her there comes a time in all of our lives , i have a friend that had a company like this except it more hunting apparel , when he closed it i was deeply saddened but when he explained the decision it made sense , you cant let it drag you down and we all reach that point somewhere in these very small nitch enterprises

Agreed. Keeping it going might be more than Sassy's health can do.

Just another reason to keep my guns as stock as possible.

Maybe some springs I install myself.

Otherwise stock .

When there is none left to make the custom parts needed to do that repair or upgrade.

You can still keep your stock gun working .

Just Sayin.
