Anyone got one? Any advice? I have a 13 yr old IMac and a new IPad and IPhone 14. There’s a bunch of printers out there I thought I might be able to pick up some tips here from you computer whizzes! Thanks ahead of time! 🤠

I'm hardly a confuser whiz, but my printer IS wireless. It's an old Brother printer. It's hardwired to my primary confuser, but I recently figures out how to connect it through wifi to my laptop. Works fine.

It was just a matter of going through the menu on the thing and finding the wifi, entering my password, and it worked.

Thanks, that helps since I’m not a confuser whiz myself!

I have an HP 8600 printer and an about 5 year or so old Dell PC.

When I had them hooked up wireless, it occasionally would do nothing until I rebooted both. The Dell takes forever to reboot! I then hardwired it to my router. Every now and then it just stops in the middle of printing and locks up. I can't even cancel the documents in cue! Reboot! My phone connects wireless and works almost all the time!! Usually as long as I only print one document at a time the PC is happy, it's when I try to do a few different documents. But not always an issue!

Overall, if your printer is close to your PC, I'd go hardwired. JMHO

Have had several expensive printers over the years, all wireless, including a pair of large format photo printers. Because of intermittent communication  issues, I have used them all hardwired. Simple, always works.  I am on the verge of replacing the photo printers and plan to do the same.

We have an HP Deskjet 4155e. It’s a wireless printer, scanner, copier. We’ve had it nearly 6 years and it’s been great.
The one thing that used to bug me about HP is they used to bug me about buying their ink cartridge service. We don’t print enough to warrant their service.

Other than that they make a great printer.

No matter what printer you buy make sure there is a driver for your PC, Notebook, ipad, phone ect for it.  Last printer I bought is not supported by Android OS.

Rye, can you narrow down your question? Right now it sounds like “what kind of gun should I buy for CAS?”

I’m just wondering how well they work.

We have an Epson wireless printer. It also doesn’t take ink cartridges. You fill the reservoirs with the color and it last a very long time. We have 4 iPhones, 2 iPads, 3 MacBooks connected to it at all times. Anyone that can connect via Bluetooth can also print on it. The printer like any of them has temper tantrums every now and then where you need to reset it. We bought it when my wife was doing child care back in 2020 and we printed ALOT. We still use it quite a bit with the kids and the puppy contracts. Not having to buy cartridges was the huge selling point for me. We have had to fill the black a couple times since buying it and the other colors once. Highly recommend it.

They work very well. But like any other wireless device, the distance and number of barriers (walls, floors etc) between you and it make a difference. I live in a two story house, so if I’m upstairs and my printer is in my basement office, it doesn’t work so well.
