Cypress Sun Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I haven't had anything from McD's in about 8 years. The last thing I had was a fillet- o- fish. I used to like the fillet but over the years they got smaller and smaller as did the "cheese" they put on it and it became tasteless. No way would I eat anything they call caviar. I've had various kinds of caviar. All of them were offered by friends, some were good and all were edible, some better than others. Would I buy it, no. I love almost all seafood, freshwater or salt. Being from Florida, I was raised on beef, pork and seafood. By the way, Caribbean Spiny Lobster (no claws) is much better than Maine Lobster (has claws), especially if fresh caught. Shrimp is best if they are fresh caught also. I won't even think about eating "farm raised" shrimp from some Asian country....that stuff is just nasty all the way around. As my Dad's side of the family were heavily involved in cattle ranching, I have no qualms about eating organ meat from cattle or chickens. Even had pig brains a couple of times, they weren't bad but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy them. You'll never see me eat beets, can't even stand the smell of them cooking. I'd eat a jar of live, pissed off fire ants before eating beets. There are other so called foods that I don't like, pickles or bell peppers (any color) but as those are used as a topping many times, I'll just pick them off of the sandwich, pizza or whatever they are on. 1 Quote

Ate a Fish sandwich from McDonald's yesterday for the first time in a while. Half a slice of cheese, stale bun, and yes smaller basically tasteless fish square! The only thing good for me was that it had a reasonable dab of tarter sauce instead of a pint of it on it. Still less of a mystery than the other choices there! 1 Quote
Rye Miles #13621 Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I like the quarter pounder with cheese. That seems the same as always. 1 Quote

McDonalds... we went to one a couple of weeks ago for the first time in I don't know when. Yep, fish sandwich. Yep, they've shrunk. Anyhoo, since there were a bazillion cars in the drive thru lanes we went in. Ordered at the kiosk 🙄 and waited. For every one order they handed to a customer they handed five to a delivery driver (Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc.) 1 Quote

They obviously prioritize the drive through orders. Do the Door Dash drivers pick up at the drive through or from inside? Quote

Put the oyster back on the not-flat half of the shell. Add drawn butter and a few REAL bacon bits. Once the baking sheet is full into the 150° oven for five minutes. Lemon wedges & Tabasco available at consumption for those that desire it. 2 Quote

I’ve talked to him when he pulls up to the drive thru and he gives them the name and order number. He only goes inside for a really huge order which is very rare. If you insist on cooking them. I'm not fond of bacon on oysters because even a little bit overpowers the taste of the oysters, in my opinion. Unless you are making a stew or chowder. 1 Quote

Some days it's good, somedays it isn't. Very slow because of the drive up. I don't go there a lot anymore. Jen's, Sally B's, Nana's, Dinner Bell, and Zeke's are all better and we have developed a few very good Mexican places lately. I still like Subway and Guido's. too. All are a bit costier than the fast food places, but they all are worth it Quote
