Cypress Sun Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I've heard that they call it "dynamic pricing" and it is actually in the process of being implemented. I've also left stuff at both self-checkout and staffed checkout. Quote

Jack Spade Posted February 5 Posted February 5 My wife pointed these out to me the other day at our local walmart. Guess I am done shopping there if I am going to be subject to pricing increases because of my income or my "social score". This BS needs to be challenged in court immediately! 1 Quote
Eyesa Horg Posted February 5 Posted February 5 How would you know if it's happening? Does the price change before your eyes? It would likely have to happen at the register where it's being scanned, no? 1 1 Quote

Eyesa Horg Posted February 5 Posted February 5 The above doesn't sound to me like different patrons are paying a different price based on their habits or status financially. 1 Quote
Black Angus McPherson Posted February 6 Posted February 6 A while back they tried variable speed limits on a stretch of Interstate here. The speed limit would change depending on the time of day and volume of traffic. As you might imagine it was quite the clusterflop and did not go over well. I understand that most, if not all, the people that got speeding tickets during this fiasco were let off. Angus Quote

Rye Miles #13621 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I hardly ever go to WalMart except for occasionally to pick up .22’s or if they have LRLN Win shotgun shells. I may pick up a few other things but I don’t go there regularly. I’ll have to check it out next time I go. Quote
