Three Foot Johnson Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I'll turn 70 in a few more days, and so far this is the mildest Montana winter I've ever seen. No snow at my elevation yet (~4400 ft), no below zero temps yet, and daytime highs well above freezing for all but a couple days. Good Lord, I had 60 yesterday, about 52 right now, and the long range forecast says it will be in the high 40's and low 50's for the next two weeks. 4 Quote

Colorado Coffinmaker Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I don't, for the life of me, understand the IDIOTS that call it "Global Warming." It's actually "Global Climate Change." It is NOT a myth. It's happening and we cannot, at this point reverse it. Climate change is cyclical. It's been happening every so often for millennia. Climate Change will continue to happen, no matter what we "think" we can do. Trying to blame any one ethnic, Any Party Politic is a fools errand. Those of the "Right" Persuasion are just as ignorant of the science as those of the Left. Attempting to assign blame is simply stupid. The Liberals didn't cause it. The Conservatives didn't cause it. Neither can "Fix" it. We can only deal with Climate Change and adapt as we need to. This constant pontificating about Liberals is pointless and only serves to demonstrate ignorance. 2 1 Quote

Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Define climate change. Is it too much heat or too much cold? I saw in the news recently that climate scientists are saying the data might be wrong, and we are in fact careening toward another ice age. Sound familiar? Adding on, if you believe climate change is man made, you believe man can solve it. But if you can’t define what climate change is, what remedy do you apply? But if climate change isn’t man made, then any remedy applied isn’t going to make a whit of difference. Just ask the ancient civilizations that are now under water or frozen in ice. We don’t know squat, because man’s presence on this planet is a fraction of a blink in time. The “experts” are just making s*** up as they go along. It wasn’t that long ago that the experts said the earth was flat and that Galileo was a heretic. We won’t know until all of us are long gone. And even then we won’t know. In the meantime, I’m not getting my knickers in a knot over a bunch of alarmists. I just wish they’d shut the h••l up 1 2 Quote
