Charlie MacNeil, SASS #48580 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Howdy! The title kind of says it all, but a little background info is probably in order, so here goes: my son, who is a big ol' boy, shoots a pair of EAA Longhorns that were our original pistols from when we first started shooting CAS many moons ago. He later acquired a Cimmaron Model P as a backup. He's been shooting two-handed from the get go, but this spring he decided that he wanted to move to double duelist with the idea of eventually transitioning to gunfighter. He has big hands so it's fairly easy for him to reach the hammer spurs on his guns, but lowered hammers would make it a skosh easier. Does anybody make lowered hammers for his guns? He and his wife just bought their first house, so new guns are a distant dream at this point... Thanks! Quote
Rattlesnake Slim Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I had my hammers lowered by Choctaw Silver Wolf, you can send him a PM. It was VERY reasonably priced and he had them back to me in about a week. Quote
Charlie MacNeil, SASS #48580 Posted February 1 Author Posted February 1 Thanks, Slim. I'll probably do that in the near future. Quote
Choctaw Jack Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I've bought two pairs of lowered hammers for Uberti Model P's from Cimarron. The first pair took over a year, the second took over two years. It seems they always have them on order, but only receive them once in a while. I made it a point to call regularly, and it eventually paid off. Good Luck Choctaw Jack 1 Quote
