Not necessarily an untimely addition.  Considering, at present, Glock is only offering to Military and Police and their iteration seems to be the award winner for accuracy and reliability.  The barrel length(s) cited don't necessarily play well for market share on this side of the pond.  And we have to consider the current policies pertaining to Forign sales to this country.  I wouldn't get real excited.

Seems like an unnecessary addition to an already crowded market. I guess sales will tell.

There are Glock fan bois out there that would buy 36 grit sandpaper labeled Glock toilet paper and say it was the best toilet paper ever made.

One of the reason Glocks perform so well is their magazines. I wonder if Glock developed a better AR-15 mag to go with their GR-115?

Don't scoff.  Word on the street has it that Glock Magazines make for really good reading onna toilette.  No kidding.

I’ve had 3 or 4 different AR’s, I shoot em once or twice and then they sit in the safe. I then wind up selling them . I hate safe queens. So I won’t be buying one if they come around but it is interesting and I wonder why they haven’t done this sooner. It’ll be a big seller guaranteed!

ATI has been making polymer lowers for years and I have built 4 rifles on them. The first edition of the receiver was all polymer and they wound up replacing many of those without hassle. The second edition had steel reinforcing inserts and held up just fine. I would imagine Glock saw that and hopefully planned around it.
