Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I put the second place winner here because it has a cowboy, other one is first place. https://nicenews.com/environment/2026-international-snow-sculpture-championships-winners/?utm_source=convertkit&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Not+your+average+snowmen+-+20557486 4 4 Quote
Sedalia Dave Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Sorry I can't help but think that the winning sculpture was chosen more for the name than the skill in creating it. 1 Quote
Alpo Posted January 31 Posted January 31 This happen to anyone else? I clicked on the link and I got all the way down to "South Korea had a woman captain", and the internet crashed. I opened it back up and this time I got all the way down to "the sculptures are on display until" and the internet crashed, so I opened it back up and I closed that page. 1 Quote
watab kid Posted February 1 Posted February 1 i agree awsome - we have or used to have a winter festival that had similar as well as ice sculptures , too busy protesting ice this year it seems , seen nothing of it in the news , figures put a lot of money into the arts then cancel it for political protests instead , i wish i could just move out of this state old age does not allow as much flexibility as my younger years did too many constraints Quote
Gateway Kid SASS# 70038 Life Posted February 1 Posted February 1 We (my wife, her friend and I) went to Breckenridge today to check it out. Pretty cool, though a couple had already collapsed. Will try and post a few tomorrow. Regards Gateway Kid 2 Quote

Alpo Posted February 1 Posted February 1 What is that guy doing in the top picture of your second post? Putting some stuff in a sack? Quote
Cactus Jack Calder Posted February 1 Posted February 1 10 minutes ago, Alpo said: What is that guy doing in the top picture of your second post? Putting some stuff in a sack? Canoeing white water. That’s a paddle in his hands and rough water waves behind the canoe. Bed roll and boxes (?) in front. My best guess, and I’m pretty confident of it being correct. CJ 2 2 Quote
