Just saw an ad. Sunglasses.

Manly men, wearing the sunglasses. Manly men doing manly things - driving fast cars, shooting guns, fishing. Manly things.

And they announced, in the ad, that the company was established in the '80s. I'm thinking - so?

If it had said the company was established in the 30s, well then yeah, that's a long well-established company.

And then I realized the '80s was 45 years ago. To some 30-something looking for a pair of sunglasses that's a well-established company with a long business history.

I’m within days of the same age as the Chevrolet Corvette!!  We were both introduced in the same month and year.

The difference is, I haven’t been remodeled and updated the way it has!! 😵‍💫

🤣 NOPE!!  The chassis has been reinforced with titanium, the suspension has been repeatedly modified, there are replacement parts in several systems, and some worn or damaged components have been removed!

NHRA would classify it as “Modified Production” subject to use of standard fuels and would bump it into “Gas Altered” when certain additives are employed! 😜

Just remember, the leading cause of death in old men is still thinking that they're still young men.

He's whispering. Because he's afraid if I hear what he say, I'll go beat him up.

They don't make parts for 1942 models any more.  My favorite nurse at the VA told me that when I checked in 11 years ago.
