Chief Rick Posted January 22 Posted January 22 How about posting some pics of your annual, state, regional or national match name badges? I'm interested in seeing what's been worn. Maybe give some ideas for others going forward. 3 Quote
T-Square Posted January 22 Posted January 22 My standard reply....It's a NAME badge, so the name should be the most P R O M I N E N T thing. I'm old, and my vision isn't what it use to be - so the LETTERS should be large enough to see from more than a few inches away. This is were someone inserts the comment about small letters on a badge, pinned on a woman's blouse - how much we love to stare just to read the NAME on the badge. 9 1 Quote

Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Great collection Scout! I am in wind down mode so I threw away most of the name tags last year. The only ones I kept were from Railhead as I thought it was kind of neat that each year was a train car and you could build a train with them. The ones on the bottom were from Railhead when it was at Buckskinner Park. When the City of Williams closed the park to shooting it was a few years before we could restart in a gravel pit a few miles north of Williams, Arizona. 7 Quote
Randy Saint Eagle, SASS # 64903 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I have lost a few but here’s most of mine. A friend embroidered this towel for me, but now I need to add on to it. 🤠 4 Quote

Wild Eagle Posted January 24 Posted January 24 The problem I see with most of the above name tags is that it's hard to read the name of the shooter. The people ordering these need to keep in mind that first and foremost they are name tags and the name should be easy to find and easy to read from a distance. I have not been shooting very long but the best name tag I ever got was from the 2025 Texas State match. I could read most of the names from 20 feet away. I know that many of you request to shoot on a posse with people you know, but I don't. I like to shoot with people I don't know and make new friends. However, that means I'm shooting with 15 people I have never met before. I need easy to read name tags. 4 Quote
watab kid Posted January 24 Posted January 24 ill disagree - they read rather well to me , but perhaps thats because im used to seeing them like this , my favorite thus far was last years FIRE IN THE HILLS badge , Wisconsin Old West Shooters , its metal and name is prominent , everything else is smaller font , i do have the same PITV one that scout showed above as thats where we met 1 Quote

I love that! 1 Quote
Fence Cutter Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Here's my favorite one. Made by a club member from a tree branch. No plastic and you don't need to read through a paragraph to see the shooter's name. 3 Quote
