Highwall Posted January 21 Posted January 21 My wife once asked me why all my holsters are black leather, I told her I grew up with black and white TV westerns in the 50's. LOL The character Clay Alexander is the one that influenced me the most with black. Are you old enough to know what series that was?😁 Quote
watab kid Posted January 21 Posted January 21 (edited) im probably old enough at over 3/4 century but i cant recollect that one offhand - DO TELL came back to add i like your holsters , mine have always been brown , but i have a friend that prefers black and they do look good , Edited January 21 by watab kid Quote
sassnetguy50 Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Maybe, I remember watching a particular show in black and white which opened every episode with a closeup on his black holster. It had a sophisticated adornment on the holster, not a buckle. He never went by Clay Alexander on the show. Is that the same show you're writing about? Quote

Rye Miles #13621 Posted January 21 Posted January 21 (edited) I never knew that! So it’s true you do learn something new everyday!😳No wonder I never knew his name. Real Name in Expanded Material In one of the books expanding on the character, the writers give Paladin the full name Clay Alexander, but this is not part of the TV show’s episodes — just in later tie-in literature. 📘 Clay Alexander in the Books In the tie-in novel A Man Called Paladin (adapted from the season-six premiere episode “Genesis”), the author Frank G. Robertson gave Paladin a full name: Clay Alexander. This name does not appear in the original TV show and is considered non-canonical by many fans of the series. Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 My holsters and cartridge belts match. Beyond that I have a bunch of colors from black to russet to chocolate to tan to buckskin. I'm not interested in making a fashion statement, just getting good quality gun leather. Quote

Lots of friends still from SASS, some with outlandish costumes (Jittery Jim Jonah's electric shirt), some copying a movie character, some just getting by. 1 Quote
