Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 In my view, while some increases can be blamed on inflation, the "Shortages" the past several years on many products, gave a signal just how much people were willing to pay for things and how it affected profit margins. 2 Quote

Agreed, when folks pay $300+ for half a pound of Trail Boss, you can sell em anything for whatever you feel like! 5 2 Quote
Rye Miles #13621 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) I’ve found ammo prices to be somewhat leveled out. I can get 9mm for anywhere from $11.99 to $18.00. Reloading components are still high but I can get .38 bullets no anywhere from $45-$50.00 for 500. Primers are around $70 for 1000. Powder (TiteGroup) is around $45 for a lb. Eyesa Horg Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I think that's about where things will settle for a while. Primer may drop a bit as we've seen some pretty good sales and doubt distributors are losing money on them. 2 Quote
WD Farren Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) Why not? Everything else is. The AI demand has driven memory chip prices fully 10x higher than a few years ago. I had to pay $389 (!) for 32gb for my grandsons new computer. When I owned Micron Technology stock it was $8…. Now $308 the last time I looked. Over production of primers has brought the prices down a bit, so I am hopeful the same will happen to DRAM as production ramps up. The AI demand will keep prices sky high for quite awhile. watab kid Posted January 16 Posted January 16 i dont pay a lot of attention anymore - i bought a lot prepandemic because i had sources and i have more of what i use than ill be able to shoot up in my lifetime at the rate im going , with the changes in military calibers and their contract demands - im sure we shall see high prices and shortages in some areas for all the reasons in the article 1 Quote
Dapper Dave Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I bought some high dollar stuff for testing in my 38SW, and OUCH...Buffalo Bore is really proud of their stuff. Otherwise, I just make it. Quote
