My LGS has one and I checked it out today. Wow what a slick action. It’s got the cerakote finish. They’ve got a great price on it, far less than retail which is 518.99 I just may have to get this! They have other Rio Bravo models also.

I got one when they first came out. I have never shot it. It levers strange. I sent it back to Rossi. They kept it 3-4 weeks sent it back levered the same way I called them and they said that’s the way it is supposed to work. Not anything near my 9422

Maybe they changed them because the one I checked out was smooth as heck!

my take on these is same as the other brands a buckaroo-ette might start with , if it works reliably go for it , they move out of that class quickly and are shooting the adult versions if interested in staying in this

I’ll be buying this for myself, we do a Rimfire challenge every month and I’m currently using a Henry .22 but this one is so much slicker. I also shoot .22’s ar an indoor cowboy shoot during the winter months.

At least it is an aluminum receiver, not the zinc alloy with a steel wrapper like the Henry 22s.  Will respond better to tuning and give better lifetimes, I would guess.

good luck, GJ

cerakote finish

No, it's a PVD vaporized metal deposited finish.  Should be a lot tougher (and glossier) than Cerakote or electroplating,  and probably close to what anodized aluminum would be.

good luck, GJ

itshould serve you well , ive known more than a couple youngsters that shot them well and treated them like the tools we use them as that still have them and still shoot them even tho they have long time ago outgrown the original use they were applied to - also none of them will sell off those bits of their personal history - they keep them in their own growing accumulations

I've never checked out the Rossi .22

Wonder if it can be "Soft Stroked"  like the Henry .22?

I like the Winchester 9422XTR I got my son at Bass Pro about 22 years ago FOR $299 on sale!  Wish I had picked up one in .22mag too but money was tight back then. I have been looking at the Brownings recently as I believe they are very similar and cheaper than the Winchesters with “plain” wood instead of checkered. I saw that Winchester came out with a new .22 but have yet to see one in person, believe they are imported from Turkey but not sure. As anyone ever handled one of those??  Sorry forgot the name of them.

I talked myself out of buying the Rossi, my Henry .22 is just fine plus it was my brother in law’s who’s not with us anymore. That said if anyone is looking for a .22 rifle the Rossi is definitely worth looking at! Thanks for all the responses! 🤠

Hey Rye.

If TW 'Tight Wad' Williams would buy one, I would do a little 'midnite requisition' and have one to check out.

He'll never know its missing from his inventory, just like the S&W 629 Performance Center 'Comp Hunter' i

got from him.   He still don't know its missing..... :)

Looks like it even has the full auto mod on the trigger guard.

I guess the "large loop" is just for show.

I too love my Winchester 9422LR I used to have the Winchester 9422M also .

But I never shot it just because of cost difference in the ammo .

The new Winchester is the Ranger .

It looks nice but its made in Turkey.

Nothing wrong with Made in Turkey.

But we have very well built Made In America or Not Made at all Henry rifles right here .

I bought all my Grandsons a Life Membership for the NRA & A Henry Repeating Arms rifle gor the day the was born .

Then I bought them Ruger Wranglers to keep them out of my Single Six guns .

The large loop has the regular lever held on with screws, LOP 12.5", 16" barrel, Widder short stroke, Rifleman trigger.

Really lots of fun shooting this .22 rifle. When take regular lever off and screw out of trigger you can spin the rifle very easy.

It's my play toy and yeeha!

I bought a Henry large loop before I found SASS.

Yes, I learned how to twirl it. How could you not? Haha!

I love the Rifleman trigger on yours. I recently started watching the series again. One of the best Westerns on TV.
