Creeker, SASS #43022 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I take a certain amount of pride in my gun shop carrying a fair number of oddball or, at minimum, less common firearms. And I try really hard to keep my website updated in a timely manner with any new arrivals, price changes and sold items. So just because I don't have enough to do already - I am now adding YouTube videos from differing sources that give some insight into firearms I happen to have on the shelf. Not every firearm obviously; but some of the guns that are interesting, less common or those I had to research because I knew nothing about them. I would love to provide a consistent format to these videos but that will likely have to wait for a while; so in the meantime - take a look and let me know if you think the extra information provides anything to the site. http://www.emmaleesguns.com 4 3 Quote
watab kid Posted January 7 Posted January 7 looks good to me - i think your presentation is easily followed and i assume easily accessed ? i didnt actually try to buy anything yet Quote
Gracos Kid Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I am impressed with the great site. If I lived near you, I would probably be banned from your store due to drooling over your entire inventory. Your pricing is really good ......... Quote
DeaconKC Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I like it, wish I was close enough to visit your shop! Quote

United Airlines - Little Rock to Las Vegas round trip $204.00. I'll give you a ride from Vegas to Pahrump (might even buy you McDonalds) (Value Menu, of course). 1 1 Quote
Crazy Gun Barney, SASS #2428 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Dangit, why didnt I know about this when I was in Pahrump occasionally to visit with my wifes family? Well, only a 4 hour drive from here next time I am going that direction. North on the 15 and hang a left at Baker. Gives a chance to buy some alien jerky on the way 👽 Quote

The Alien jerky place is growing - they seem to add something every time we go there; and I miss Bun Boy. 2 Quote
Dantankerous Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Excellent presentation on your website. Well done. Neat inventory of older firearms too. Quote

While we obviously have some as well; too many shops are just a sea of polymer handguns and AR rifles anymore. I know I get excited when I visit a shop that is a little different - we try real hard to always have "something" that you won't find a duplicate of in the next shop. 3 Quote

We have a couple shop dogs; Emmalee (my daughter, Desert Scorpion) brings in her Shepherd/ Rottweiler mix (Spuds) and Casey (my wife, Painted Lady) brings in our Labrador/ Shepherd (Rhyolite) - so you certainly wouldn't be the first to drool on a showcase. Re: pricing, thank you. We miss sometimes; but we try to be reasonable (or at least, market comparable; true gun value, gunbroker, etc.) on our pricing especially since we also include the sales tax amount (nearly 8%) within our pricing. And we never charge a card premium for using credit cards - it seems petty. (plus I still believe that the best time to sell something is when your customer wants to buy it - if they walk because you don't want to take a card or attempt to gouge them - they may not come back). Dogs (especially well behaved ones) encourage civility. They (much more than the pistols on our hips) help dissuade stupid behavior or poor decisions toward three of the people I love more than anything on this planet. It is a joy to have them there - but they are definitely working when the shop is open. 1 Quote

It is a joy to have them there - but they are definitely working when the shop is open. they also seem to have a sense of what the character of the customer presents - i cant tell you how many times they come up looking fondly on the customer - nor how they seem to sense that one that is just a bit wrong , also makes certain segment of the population become a bit less aggressive in their approach - i appreciate it all as a counter guy when im working - the dogs here are well behaved , except when they are alerting you to something thats not quite right oh but they are not real happy when other dogs invade their territory - ill give them that , the club is their second home , they defend it as they would their first , mine does the same here - hes very small and in spite of his bark pretty much harmless but he is a great alarm system , my handgun can handle the rest 1 Quote

We are a dog friendly shop (as long as they are leashed); even to having a box of dog treats by the door for the customers doggos. Our dogs are pretty good about not taking it as an invasion - more them looking at us and questioning, "Um, is he really supposed to be in here? And how come he's getting a treat?" 😁 Quote

And how come he's getting a treat?" 😁 we have dog treats as well behind the counter , and yes often the after hours relax is including multiple dogs - like for or five sometimes more , they generally settle into having friends once they ge used to it , we lost one last year - that one would actually get excited and go out to the visitors vehical looking for friends because she knew they were in there , ' i am blessed to woirk where we have dogs on site daily - once in a while they get under feet when we are really busy but mostly they are just there and relaxing - they do annoy me when i=m eating lunch a bit but that happens at home a little too , mine at home is half the size of those at the range and they are 21/10 the size of the visiting - we have never yet had a dpog that was not welcome notr one that made itself unwelcome [except in the eyes of the resident guardians] i like aving a dog around but mine likes my wife better and always derfers to where she if he has the choice - but im good when shes gone Quote
