H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I have an old Marlin 92 in .32 Caliber that needs a gunsmith that really understands the specifics of this gun. I've got the centerfire pin installed. When I run .32 Long Colts in it, it often jams. I think I might know why based on observations. But when I run .32 Short Colts in it, it sorta double feeds, and jams in a different way. It's not supposed to do either of those things. I'd like to find a good gunsmith who really knows the ins and outs of this model who can take a look at for me and hopefully fix the issues. I am in New England. Any recommendations?
Widder, SASS #59054 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Warden Calloway might be able to shed some light on your situation. And never forget Larsen's knowledge of firearms is darn good and well established. Personally, I never ventured into the 1892. Sorri. ..........Widder
Cotton Eye Joe Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Wish you luck in finding one lol. And tell us when you do because I have a Marlin 1892 (22rf) that's relegated to single-shot status due to the mag tube not working. Which really stinks because it's a very handsome gun otherwise. Think my best bet is buying another someday (which hopefully isn't broken) and seeing what parts I'm missing.

Sheriff Dill Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Have you tried talking with Gordon Leavitt in Gray Maine ? He has done the work on my 73’ and currently has my sxs and another 73. Not sure if he can work on Marlins. His contact info is in the SASS gunsmith page. If you can find it let me know and I can send it to you.
H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 Thanks for the post, Jackrabbit. As others mentioned, it's not the same animal, but I appreciate the post all the same. If this problem ever come up with my Rossi, I now know what to do!
