Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted December 26, 2025 Posted December 26, 2025 Okay, what is that drum called and where can I find one? I don't usually see drums as "mellow" instruments. 1 Quote

I don't usually see drums as "mellow" instruments. That's a bodhrán. Go to almost any music store and you should be able to find one or order one. Prices run about $50 to $500. Even if you just search "Irish Drum" you'll turn up places that sell them. https://waltonsirishmusic.com/products/16-inch-standard-brown-bodhran 1 Quote

You would think I would remember these things, but when you haven't been around your roots you just let a lot of things waste away. I still love the sound of pipes being played by someone who knows how to make them sing.....like the Black Watch band. Thanks. 2 Quote
