No Canadians will be able to legally purchase or register one.

Criminals, thugs, home invaders are exempt from the regulation.

In other news, Colt Canada is reported to be assisting in the "Buy-Back" of privately owned, now prohibited firearms, on behalf of the Canadian government..

You probably should look into this a bit deeper. This came up a few weeks ago and was pretty much debunked. Colt Canada is supposed to be buying back military or law enforcement gear from the government. I do not remember all the details, but there were no privately owned firearms involved.

Isn't everything "plastic" a Glock knock off? 😉

I don’t know this is my Canik 9, does it look like a Glock? It’s plastic.

What I heard was the Ottawa liberal government had on their government website the address of colt Canada listed as disposal destination  for their failed buyback which is soft name for government stealing private property from law abiding citizens.

Yes, there were, and apparently still are, lots of rumors about how evil CC is. Lot's and lot's of people reposting, retweeting, and generally spreading the same rumor, without doing any real research. Kind of sad how stupid and/or lazy people have become, and perfectly willing to crap on a companies reputation without having all the facts. CC is involved in a buyback, it is only in regards to unused and/or outdated military  and law enforcement equipment.

You may not want to believe CC's statement because you read something else on the internet, that is certainly your right.

Great Scott...OK, let the CZ guy explain things. First, the CZ P-10 shares a great many things with the Glock, but not everything. Also, the grip angle is different, CZ different.  I know this for a fact because I am issued the Glock 19, and now the G- 45 at work for 24 years and I have carried a CZ P-10C for 7 years now. It's not a new pistol by any means, longer and far better history than some big names...SIG 320, can ya hear me? The P-10C had one minor teething issue that got squared away quickly, and it is a solid pistol that I have carried for years. In fact, my entire family carries a P-10 of one flavor or another.

Da Boy with his  P-10S. Yes, bad hair day.

The ultra rare, (like CZ will ever be collectable! Hah!), P-10C White Nitride. Only 400 made.

Now, as for CZ/Colt/Colt Canada, things to remember - CZ-USA and Colt Canada are two different companies. They both belong to Colt/CZ Group, based in the Czech Republic, but CZ-USA has nothing to do with Colt Canada. However, when the poop started flowing about CZ being involved with confiscations, I asked my guy at CZ-USA and I got this response;
In response to recent inquiries to CZ-USA, Colt Canada has stated they are not and will not be involved in the Canadian Government Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program, (ASFCP), for Canadian citizens, including any form of collection or destruction of firearms. Colt Canada's activities in Canada remain focused on serving the military and law enforcement customers.
And for Colts' involvement with CZ, the decision to make the name Colt/CZ Group, instead of CZ/Colt was strictly marketing and the fact that CZ-UB is enamored with the Colt name, leading to the replacement of many if not almost all long term CZ-USA employees with Colt employees. That is a business decision that might have long term repercussions, that's for certain.
