Not legal for CAS. :D:rolleyes:

Fine gun. Doesn’t fit my big hand nicely. Also I prefer the metal framed SIGs.

YMMV

I have both a 365SAS and a regular 365.

Both are excellent.- Hardest part is loading the mags

If the one you are looking at is the SAS - the sights are different so I would recommend several trips to range to get used to the sights.

Try this gizmo, they work excellent! At least the one I got for my 320 does!

I carried a S&W Scandium Commander for many years in .45ACP. A P365XL fit my XXL paws well, great sights and a good trigger for a striker gun.

Posted

Have carried a 365 with night sights for several years.

Carries easy with 12 round capacity.

Shoots well and has fed everything I fed it.

I run a galco shoulder rig with 2 spare mags, no problem.  I’m a smaller frame and wear the rig under a full cut short sleeved shirt with no printing.

I just gave Painted Lady a Sig 365 for a Christmas present today.

She has been carrying a J frame Smith & Wesson 38 spl. but wanted a semi auto.

Got her a Smith 9mm Equalizer - nice enough gun, but she felt it was a little big for her concealed carry.

I considered a Ruger LCP (which I own and carry myself as a backup) but 7 rounds of 380 is barely any improvement over her 5 rounds of 38 special.  So I would have bought her the "LCP Max" and by the time you get 10 rounds of 380acp in the Ruger - You can get 10 rounds of 9mm in the Sig in basically the same size package.

So when a customer brought in this unfired Sig 365 into the shop - I snatched it up for her.

Going shooting on Saturday - so hopefully she likes it.

Fortunately, if she doesn't - I know a guy who can sell it for her. 😁

Very popular, functioned great, grips are too small for me and couldn't get past the difficulty in loading the magazines.  It wasn't for me.

Good gun.  Wife bought the "Rose" model for a carry gun.  She's happy with it.

I also have the Rose for a CC and really like it.

I have the XL (slightly longer barrel). A terrific gun. As has been expressed previously, it takes multiple types of ammo w/out jams, aims easily, is not overly snappy, great size for CC.

It does have a smallish grip, tho. So if you've got bigger mitts..........

Try the above from Speed Beez, it works pretty easy and the magazine just snaps right into it.

I have the XL, hundreds of rounds through it, zero issues.

Which model are you looking at? I have quite a few sigs. I currently have my P365 XMacro on my hip as I am typing this. It is my daily carry. I also have the P365 SAS and as Jim said above you have to shoot it a few times to get used to the sights. I also have the P226 Elite, P229, P320 XCompact, P320 M18 and 1911 Texas Edition.. They make great guns even though my 2 P320's are defective since they just sit around and never go off by themselves. Sig has a lifetime warranty on their guns and if the grips don't fit, you can get other grips that might work. If it is the original gun with case it should have different backstraps with it. Mine came with S, M and L. I have found them to be very accurate as well. My P365 XMacro has an RDS on it and shoots very well. Too bad I lost all of them in a boating accident and they are now all at the bottom of the lake. I shoot a little to the left but it was so consistent I didn't mess with the sights.

Depending on price and model I don't think you can go wrong with a Sig and the P365 is one of the hottest selling firearms on the market.

I have one of those for my P226 that works with all 3 calibers, 9, 40 & 357, very well. It locks the magazine in place and holds it while you are loading. I definitely recommend them.

I have a P365 and I really like it. I had a Glock 43 and the recoil was snappy. I don’t feel any snappiness with the P365.
It’s accurate with a variety of ammo. it really likes Winchester Defense 115gr ammo. It’s inexpensive SD ammo.
The P365 is also very reliable. I have several hundred rounds through mine with zero malfunctions.

I highly recommend it.

Something I forgot to mention:

When you buy a new P365 and register the warranty Sig will give you a 15% discount on products and accessories. Orders over $100 after the discount get free shipping.
I used mine to purchase 3 more 12 round mags. Now I have 6 mags and I can rotate using the 4 - 12 round mags. I can use the 10 round mags for pocket carry.

i dont have that one - but ive shot it and yes excellent handguns , i have and i carry other sigs , but that is the most popular of the sig line i believe

i prefer my P210

P365?  If yes,  excellent.

No safety option, Pearce Grip Extension and a Vedder lighttuck Kydex IWB holster.

Glad to see I am not the only one shooting 115 grn bullets with my 9mm's. I like the round and it is accurate in all my 9mm firearms. I get hassled saying I should be shooting at least the 124 grn bullet. Not sure why they feel that way and they can't tell me so I will stay with the 115 grn. It doesn't kick and I shoot it well.

You never did say which model you were looking at. Give us an update on this.

Just a PS to this discussion. Magpul is now making magazines for the P365 series. Got some ordered and can't wait to try them out.

There are so many good choices available today, it's hard to go wrong. If it's got the features you want, I'd definitely give it a try. I like the trigger better than the Hellcat, but single stacks like the Glock 43, Kahr CM/PM9, Diamondback DB9, etc. are slimmer & lighter. Then there's the crop of .380's if you want to go even smaller. I find myself carrying an LCP Max in a Vedder Pocket Locker more often than anything.

In all of my 9mm’s, past and present, I have found 115 grain ammo, factory and reloads, to be more accurate. Accuracy is number one with me.

In my P365 I tried 115, 124 and 147 grain hand loads and factory ammo. I even tried matching Sig Sauer’s factory ammo in weight and velocity and the 115 loads out performs the 124 and 147 loads.
Also: the least accurate factory round I tried was Sig Sauer’s own “365” 115 grain ammo.

The most accurate factory SD ammo in my P365:

1. Winchester Defense 115gr

2. Hornady Critical Defense 115gr

3. Hornady American Gunner 115gr

The Winchester Defense 115gr is the least expensive SD ammo I have found besides hand loading.

Poor performers in my P365

1. Sig Sauer 365 115gr

2. Winchester Silver Tip 115gr

3. CCI Blazer JHP 115gr

There are still a number of factory cartridges I have not tried. Being on a fixed income budget I find the Winchester Defense ammo most desireable at $30 per 50 round box.

Winchester Silver Tip has been  a major disappointment to me in 9mm, .357 Mag and .45 Colt. So much so that I will not keep their nickel plated brass for fear it will also disappoint me at some point in time.

Final note: I always call gun manufacturer’s Customer Service Depts and ask what ammo, bullet grain and velocity works best in their pistols.
Except for Glock, the answers I get do not pan out at the range. Glock says that 115 grain 1150fps ammo works best in their guns (2023). In 2005 they said 124 grain NATO.

If you are looking for something smaller check out the P365 SAS model. It is small and still very accurate.

We seem to have pretty much the same experience with the addition of the range ammo I shoot. Mine seem to like the CCi Blazer 115 grn FMJ. They feed well and have been accurate. The ammo you mentioned are also very accurate across the board of all my firearms. Some are just left of the bullseye but that is either my sights or me but still in the kill zone so I have left it alone since it is consistent. These are all from 5, 7 and 10 yards.  The Sig P226 Elite and the Sig P229R are both 40 cal shooting the Winchester White box FMJ. Haven't shot anything else through them yet since I just got them and this was the first range time with them.

Nice shooting, @Texas Maverick :)

I considered the P365 SAS, but couldn’t find one to actually look at. The only ones I found were online.
I ended up buying the NRA 2nd Amendment edition at Academy Sports.
I was getting tired of all black guns. :)

interesting. I’ve never been hassled…could be because very few know I carry?
