Hypnosis question

This morning I was watching Trackdown with Robert Culp. The boyfriend of a girl hypnotized her into killing a drummer in town that was flirting with her. He read a book on hypnosis and was no expert but it worked. She wasn’t exactly sure that she killed the drummer but she thought she did! Anyway the boyfriend was held on manslaughter and she was let go after a doctor examined her and said indeed she was hypnotized. (Sorry for the edit. )

My question is if you get hypnotized into killing somebody do you and the hypnotist both go to jail?

My God. That not only varies by jurisdiction it depends on whims of the cops, DA, prosecutor, judges, and those 12 peers.

After looking it up, I found hypnosis is not a defense but back in the 1880’s they didn’t know much about it plus it’s a tv show🤣

Now it’s probably more like an insanity defense, that’s my guess.

Hey! Rye!!! Have you been dipping into Alpo’s stash?? 🤣

From what I’ve read and been told about hypnosis by practitioners, it’s extremely unlikely that one could use hypnosis to do what you describe. That is unless the hypnotized subject had the inclination in the first place.
As to the legalities of the situation, I couldn’t say.

At last. I have a disciple.

You don't have a disciple. You have people that watch to see what you're going to do next. You also have people, (Like me), that ask questions that seem to be something you would ask, and mention that so as not to take ALL the blame.;)
