Bang Bang Blessin Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 Howdy pards, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself here on the Wire. My parents, Preacher B. Quick (Phil Majors) and Kitty Kitty Bang Bang (Gayle Majors), were longtime SASS members and shot regularly at Possum Trot in Winfield, TN, as well as Hooten Old Town in McKee, KY. It has been a number of years since either of them participated and, unfortunately, both have now passed away. Some of you may recognize their aliases, and I’m grateful for the chance to reconnect with the community they cared so much about. I’m currently helping with the sale of some of their cowboy action shooting gear and period items from their personal collection, including holsters, belt buckles, cowboy hats, belts, wallets, and costume items. Everything has been well cared for and comes directly from their shooting and costuming days. I’ll be posting individual items in the appropriate classifieds sections, but wanted to introduce myself first and see if there might be interest here. I’m happy to answer questions, provide photos, or check for specific items if someone is looking for something in particular. Thank you kindly for having me. Respectfully, Bang Bang Blessin’
Blackwater 53393 Posted December 20, 2025 Posted December 20, 2025 I remember them well. She was originally Keyboard Kitty and I believe he went by Kentucky Dutchman. i’ll say they always had top quality gear!! Sorry for your loss.
watab kid Posted December 20, 2025 Posted December 20, 2025 my condolences , unfortunately did not have the pleasure of meeting them , yall are a good 14 hour drive for me , i hope that your successful in selling off what they accumulated in their lives , i know it can look overwhelming , i did this 15 and 20 years ago when my parents passed , we are jusyt now handling the final parent that passed last month, from experience it seems daunting but you will get thru it ok , glad you came here
Waimea Posted December 20, 2025 Posted December 20, 2025 Howdy Bang Bang Best of luck with your sale. I think the biggest hurdle you will have is shipping. First any of them want an arm or good leg. Second boxes aren't cheap either. If you price things well they will sell quickly. Waimea Been down this road a couple of times.
Tn Tombstone Posted December 21, 2025 Posted December 21, 2025 Bang Bang, I/we knew them well and shot with them quite a bit at PT and Hooten, they also came to Oak Ridge a few times. Married some good friends at one shoot. Anyway, we still shoot in KY at Ponderosa Pines in Manchester KY. The state shoot is April 23 - 26 and we have a yard sale. If you would like to bring some of Preachers and Kitty Kitty cowboy things there probably be some interest. If you are interested send a PM and I will see what we can do. That would save you those pesky shipping problems my buddy was talking about.
Frontier Lone Rider Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 For those items you think you might sell through this venue, you will need to provide a list of what is available. Some pictures would also be very beneficial for any buyers.
