Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 Ummm, yeah. $148,000 is affordable. And I’m thinking the FAA will be very interested in how and where it’s flown. But hold on to your hats depositors, this company is going belly up after one or two are produced, if it lasts that long. 1 Quote

Aren't a few of you still waiting for those Merwin & Hulbert repros that somebody was taking deposits on about 10 or 15 years ago? 2 1 Quote
Texas Joker Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 5 gallons of fuel can run an inverter generator for a while, and electric motors make sense. It's classed as an ultralight and needs no license to operate. Even if it never takes off ( see what I did there) it's one heck of proof of concept hybrid aircraft 1 Quote

Uses High Discharge Li-Ion battery(s) with a published flight time of about 20 min and a range of 11 miles. Real world flight time is likely closer to 15 min. Does state that you can buy extra batteries that can be swapped so you are not waiting for the installed batteries to recharge. Quote
ShadowCatcher Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 A novel concept - like this one. Wonder what the future holds? 1 Quote

Cypress Sun Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 At $150K for the Jetson One, I'll have to stick with the Flintstone One.... 3 Quote
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 $148,000.00 for 20 minutes's flying time? Hey, if that's what you want to spill your fortune over, be my guest. I can drive my 8 year old Impala for the rest of my life for that and still have enough for a funeral fit for royalty. 2 Quote
