I’ve watched a few Christmas movies that have come out in the last few years, and enjoyed them both.

Red One stars Dwayne Johnson as Santa’s personal guard who has to find him when Santa is kidnapped. Also has Chris Evan’s. It was a fun one.

Violent Night was also good. David Harbor is Santa and he ends up at a house wheee there is home invasion robbery happening. Santa ends up taking on all these commandos and still ends up with a feel good ending, despite all the killing. If bloody action type movies isn’t your thing, then skip this one. But it was a fun watch.

I find I have been oversaturated in the past few years with Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, Elf etc.  and I just can’t watch the older movies either (miracle on 34th street, wonderful life, etc) for the same reason, just been blasted with them for too many years. I’m hoping skipping them for a few years may allow them to be watchable again for me. In the meantime, I’ll watch the new ones, and Die Hard. Can always watch Die Hard. 😀

No hallmark movies, please. I think they started showing their holiday movies in August.

Two "different" Christmas movies, one newer and one older.

- Fatman w/Mel Gibson

- Reindeer Games w/Gary Sinise and Clarence Williams III

Saw a new [1994] remake of Miracle on 34th Street the other night and it was very well done. Don't be afraid to check that one out.
